Friends of Animal Rescue was created as a direct response to the growing need of individuals and rescue groups who may not have access to large grants or other financial aid. By making payments directly to veterinarians, medical boarding facilities, dog walkers,
and pet supply stores, it supports individuals and smaller rescue groups.

to benefit American AIDS orphans and parentless kids.
Live auction from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
on October 15, which will honor April Gornik with Health People’s first Leadership in Art and Civic Society Award.
“See the Children through the Trees”, an exhibition and auction benefiting AIDS orphans
and parentless kids through the work of Health People will be on display at the gallery
at the Condé Nast building though October 15th, featuring museum quality artwork by such artists as Ross Bleckner, April Gornik and Milton Glaser focused on the theme of trees.
The exhibit may be seen daily from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., with bidding in a silent auction until Thursday, October 15.

CCBF’s “Breakthrough Achievement” award will go to scientist Randal J. Kaufman, Ph.D. for his work
with the advancement of treatments for hemophilia patients.
The CCBF Gala supports the clinic and research efforts at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in which
thousands of young people undergo treatment

Royal Oak Foundation: "12th Annual Timeless Design Award Gala and Benefit"
at a private club in New York, honoring Lord Rothschild with the Timeless Design Award in recognition of his

as for his involvement in the restorations of London’s Spencer House and Somerset House.
The event will also include a live auction of various unique lots including the chance to stay at Waddesdon
